On March 31, Share How You Are #LivingMyTransLife for International Trans Day of Visibility

On Sunday, March 31, join TLDEF as we celebrate the International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV).

At TLDEF, we are intimately aware of the struggles so many transgender and non-binary individuals face, and we know that simply living one’s life is an extraordinary act.

This year, TLDEF is celebrating TDOV by launching #LivingMyTransLife. Throughout the day, TLDEF will be on social media featuring a series of past Name Change Project participants who are living their lives. And we want you to join us in the conversation.

Participating is easy!

Follow #LivingMyTransLife on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Take a selfie with a sign saying, “My name is [insert your name!] and I’m #LivingMyTransLife by [fill in the blank!]”

Tell us how you live your trans life: from having access to transition-related care, getting a legal name change, spending time with your family or loved ones, attending school or scoring your first job. Or maybe you love hiking with your dog or going dancing with your friends. We want to see how you’re surviving and thriving!

Finally, invite those around you to check out #LivingMyTransLife so we can affirm the beauty and diversity in the trans and non-binary community and remember that our lives are valued.
