Each year, TLDEF hires summer interns. While we primarily seek legal interns for our summer program, we occasionally hire college-level interns as well.
We've completed our search for 2016's group of highly-motivated law students seeking to work for transgender equal rights.
Law students, law graduates, admitted attorneys and college students are encouraged to volunteer at TLDEF. Our practice in transgender rights offers anyone interested in public interest work access to stimulating work, practical experience and mentoring.
We are currently seeking legal and non-legal interns. For more information, click here. To apply for an internship, please send cover letter, resume, writing sample, and contact information for three references to us by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Law students considering a career in public interest law have often pursued public interest law fellowships upon leaving school. These fellowships usually require a student to be sponsored by a public interest organization. TLDEF will proudly sponsor qualified applicants for Equal Justice Works, Skadden, and other fellowships.
Interested students should contact TLDEF as early as possible as planning for such fellowships requires preparation.
